haha love the pic with the policeman!

Very interested to hear about the light flywheel. Can you offer some feedback please mate? Thanks

Love it mate!

Policeman gets the other one to breathalyse whilst posing for photo with fast cars  did you get in much trouble? Or did they just want a go?!

Thanks guys.

I'm just bedding in the clutch, flywheel and brakes at the mo so will give it a thorough test once that's complete.
However first impressions is looking good for the flywheel.

So Picture me driving the Clio being followed by an Audi TTRS ( part of our group ) A Nissan Skyline GTR R33 who was tagging along at 130mph on the motorway.
The other 2 had disappeared from behind me and was replaced by a lovely Belgic copper on his police bike.
He was zooming up behind me and instructing me to follow him to a compound set up to receive speeding Brits on the way to Spa.

When we got to the compound my mate in the Porsche 911 turbo who left 20 mins after we had as he woke up late! Was already there his co driver who was a good boy and didn't drink was driving. He got caught at 120mph!
Lucky as the owner who for a laugh got the coppers to test him was still waaaaaay over the limit.
I pull in and get out to get tested and fined for 109mph. My own fault but when you are in the company of such machines on a huge motorway is easily done.
Another member of our group was also pulled in the Vanquish for doing 115mph. The lovely looking police lady laughed when we all said we knew each other!

In the last pic I'm the one in the van paying my fine. The Porsche owner is with the copper.
The fines were reasonable for speeding! I got a £120 fine which I paid there and then.
Belgium's rules on speeding are not as strict as ours.

I asked them who was the fastest catch of the day? Now many of you must be thinking ( F1 weekend + Supercars + Rich Brits = Ferrari or Porsche or maybe a Lambo? )
In fact it was a Megane 265 RS clocked at 140mph from Belgium. He was fined 500 euro, banned from driving for a month! And that was the end of it! No points, prison time or tabloid news.

So If you are going to speed in Belgium expect to have to pay for it!

It sounds like you had fun:wink:

Some serious metal in your company by the way, clio's worse nightmare on a motorway lol

We had a Ferrari 458 Italia, Aston Martin Vanquish, x2 Aston Martin V8 Vantages, Porsche 911 turbo, Porsche Carrera 4S, Audi TTRS and my Clio as the support vehicle with all the cooking gear, food and gazebo. LOL

Nice set up you have their. The Ultra Racing kit along with well set up coilovers make a massive difference to an already great car.

Jealous of them coilovers mate! Cars looks smart. Also look to see feedback about the flywheel when it's bedded in..

Car looks lush mate! i lol'd at the pic with the policeman! a fine like that is nog bad at all, when doing that in the NL you'll be set back 1500 or so. And for a Dutch guy would also mean losing your license for at least 6 months

Ride height looks great too, is that still incl the adjuster at the rear? i've read the kw doesn't go really low at the rear but this doesn't look too bad at all!

How do you rate those V12's? seems they get decent feedback and they're not badly priced at all!

See this at the airfield meet. Looks nice.

Looking forward to another one of those once it warms up a bit!

Yeah hopefully will be next month.
Will post it on all 3 of the cliosport.net empires forums.

Will hopefully get people who have got there cars back on the road

might sound like a stupid question but what is the lightened flywheel better at??know its lighter but what affect does it have on the overall performance??
thanks

The engine revs easier Pav, it frees up power which is lost by the rotational mass, however it has its drawbacks as well. It might rev easier but the revs drop quicker as well as the flywheel mass has been reduced. Also it has been reported that fitting a lighter flywheel it doesn't do any favours on the steep uphills. This is only what I've heard/read, not personal experience.

would be beneficial to gather more info about this topic..i know that Raptor offers a crank pulley which has been lightened too..would that be another option to get better revs??
thanks Yiannis

I can guarantee you that.

It's the same principle like the lightened flywheel.

The best results would come from lightening the flywheel, crankshaft, crank pulley and balancing it all together.
