New windscreen question

Hi, Just cracked my windscreen so getting a new one with auto glass. couple questions;

a) how do i find out if my car originally had auto wipers? when i bought the car it said it had it but it doesn't, but windscreen had just been replaced when i bought it so maybe the previous owner put the cheaper non sensor screen in?

b) even if it didn't have the auto wiper originally is it easily modified to accommodate it?

generally, is there any reason why it would be beneficial for me to get the screen with the sensor built in?

If you have auto lights you have auto wipers. Check for auto button on the side of the indicator stalk

And the wiper stalk needs to be on the 1st setting (auto)
