Welcome John!!!

I'd say it's worth dropping a Panel Filter in, might get a bit more noise and a bit more smoothness but thats about it really. Remap won't give you major gains but will get the most out of your other bolt-ons and smooth things out for you. Decat does make a nice noise and as the Clio has a pre-cat in the Manifold Collector you won't have any issues come MOT time.

They're not easy cars to get more power out of so subtle bolt-ons are the bet way to go really unless you want to get serious with the wallet and the power figures. In that respect I think the Honda B and K engines are more receptive to tuning.

Get some photos of both cars up!

Cheers for the welcome lads! Oh right wasnt aware of the pre cat so that saves some hassle, any idea what it would run like with a decat without the remap ive heard mixed comments

In most cases you'll suffer a bit with a flatspot between 2,000-3,000RPM. If you don't nail the throttle when the revs are down there and you drive smoothly anyway then you'll barely notice it. Nothing happens that far down the revs on this engine anyway, they need to be kept in the top third of the range. Remap will get rid of the flatspot in most cases.

:welcome:John hope you enjoy the forum it's one of the best and yes get some pics up of the little beast
