New Member - RB 200 Cup (I think)

I've been a member of ClioSport for just over a year but wen't a little inactive after my 172 got written off in a pileup after only 3 weeks of driving it. I've had a couple of cars since and none of them made me feel the way the 172 did while driving until now. My missus got fed up of hearing about how much I missed my clio everytime I saw one drive past or my copy of PFC mag arrived each month so she decided to buy me this:



Its done 48k miles with full service history, a couple of tasteful mods and cambelt done 2k miles ago. The wheels are immaculate and it truly is a credit to its previous owners. I love driving it and only have 2 small issues with it that I'm hoping to get sorted soon; its jumps a bit when pulling off first thing in the morning and it constantly pulls to the left a little while driving. I was told that its the cup version but my knowledge of anything after a 182 is relatively limited, all I know is that I love it and driving it puts a massive grin on my face.

Its already been remapped, Im pretty sure I was given the receipt for it, Rs four ashes did it if I remember correctly but I'll check later

Cheers, I met a few people from here last year at cliosport festival and everyone was great. Didn't realise people were grouping up so had my iceberg 172 in the middle of loads of 197s and 200s lol

i didnt make it last year as i was on hols but did the one 3 years ago..good times camping,drinking and tracking the following morning

Welcome to the forum, Rich! You have a very kind gf to buy you a 200 - she sounds like a keeper!

Yep, 'kangarooing' from cold is a common fault - easy fixes are to just let it warm through for a minute or two before setting off, this makes a huge difference for me.

As mentioned the kangarooing issue is common when cold. The pulling to the left is also common (as long as it isn’t too severe), the cars tend to follows cambers and ruts in the road. Do the basics first, tyres, pressures etc then get an alignment done if it’s too bad.

It might be a cup but those side strips look painted to me?? Has it got an actual key or keycard.

Key = cup
Card = full fat but it could have had the cup chassis as an optional extra.

Comes with keys, no card. Also doesn't have A/C so im pretty sure now it is a cup model
