New cars balancing wheels

So had a bit of a shakey wheel at 60-70mph+ so assumed wheel balance was out, just came back from the garage and they said there were no weights in the wheel at all, so of course it was miles out of balance, problem solved.

Question being do new cars come out the factory without weights, so with a perfectly true wheel?

I'd expect the wheel to be balanced accordingly from the factory. I wouldn't expect every tyre to be absolutely 100% identical, nor every alloy wheel so would expect to see some balancing required.

They will all require balancing, sounds like yours were missed.

My wifes car was bought brand new - it has weights on all 4 wheels. It's the tyre more than anything I would have thought, also you have the valve weight to account for.
