Hi guys just thought id make a post here I just picked up my 197 and after having 2 megane r26s and a 182 I am a little surprised as this standard suspension doesn't seem as good as I expected during fast road driving(all brand new replaced suspension setup) is there any mods people suggest to tighten the steering up? What springs are people using on these? I had cooksports on Megane number 1 and h n rs on Megane 2 and clio 182 all was amazing.

What do u guys think?

Before I purchased the car it had a full gearbox refresh (new clutch and slave), Cambelt water pump and dephaser, it had alternator and battery and full suspension refresh including rack ends and inner ties hubs and everything.

I would guess that you have non-cup suspension as you have silver brake callipers.

If you change the springs to something that is non-Renault you will probably lower the car by about 20mm and sharpen things up.

If you want to spend a bit of cash you could get some coilovers to really sharpen up your suspension.

Yep.

The dampers are reasonably cheap.
