My Glacier White Project

As I have recently done some mods, I thought it might be nice to open my own "Progress" thread.

When I bought the car in June, I had the next mod list.

- Akrapovic ==> DONE
- Semi-slick tyres for trackdays
- Other rims for road use
- A roof spoiler
- (Maybe a remap) ==> DONE

Well things went a bit differently ...

The Clio is becoming the promo car of a Belgian tuning firm, Called Apec Belgium.

The guy proposed to me that he would install my Akra for free, and he would remap it. In exchange I have to run the Clio with some decals on it. Not that much in return imo.

Anyway:

Here are some videos:

A video that shows the power in lower revs. It really has now what it lacked in the lower revs. I adore it.

I do not know what gains I got from the remap. The second lambda-sensor has been disabled, so the ECU has to lear according to my tuner. A dyno run will be done later.

But it already feels a lot stronger. The fact that we do not exceed the maximum values too much ( it wil be about 10 hp gain and same for the torque ) makes me confident. We do not stress the drivetrain too much ... am I right?

Recently some mods have been bought/done

1) Lowered the recaro for the driver.

Recaro is lowered 4 - 5 cm with another subframe. Costing me 143 GBP inclusive labour hours. Sounds like a fair deal to me.
Finally the driving position is what it's supposed to be. It feels more sporty/kart-like, and I feel more confident somehow, attacking a corner hard.

2) Ordered the Brembo Black edition Grooved discs with Ferodo DS2500, as my stock discs are officially warped.

Think I'm gonna do one more trackday to ruin my brakes completely and then i'm going to install the new brake setup.

If I had tread and some brake pads left is be out the right now caning my akrapovic

I love the shotgun bangs

Hey guys,

I ordered the seat frame at this place: http://www.alltec-seys.be/PHP/home.php

I suggest you contact those people at alltecseys<AT>telenet.be, and ask him the brand and model of the seat frame. To be clear, refer to the clio he recently lowered the seat of.

He ordered and placed mine, but I don't have any details on it. Only the price I paid (obviously)

If you really want, I can take a picture, but it looks exactly the same like stock. Fact is that they placed another frame and then remounted the 'casing' that is on the original seat. Only downside: I still have the "height switch" but it does not work anymore.
