My first datalogged trackday

I'm very happy with the result

The G meter's good, has shown me some areas that need work though. Going back to Llandow in September so can try again around the same circuit to compare.

Still can't quite get over the whole setup to do this cost me £30 in total. Amazing.

looks cool, is it an iphone app?

i see you have a go pro mount stuck to the side of your helmet did that ever work or was it too bumpy?

What mount did you use to mount it to the seat?

I take it this is a OBD IIi unit?

Does it support wifi or mfi bt?

Similar to my set up HERE but i just need the OBD II unit to pass extra data.

I got so wrapped up in driving and trying out other mounts that I never got round to using that one! Mount on the seat is a B. Haugue headrest strut mount...had to get a tripod mount for the GoPro to suit as well.

£30?! Now you have to spill the beans and say what this "setup" of yours is...

Get one of these; http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VGate-ELM...iagnostic_Tools_Equipment&hash=item27c7b3dbd7

And this to your Android phone; http://torque-bhp.com/software/torque-android-obd2-adapters/

Then with some velcro on the back of an old phone case, attach the phone somewhere solid (I stuck mine in front of the clock/radio display), calibrate the accelerometer and start logging.

Download a free copy of this; http://www.racerender.com/RR2/Features.html

Pull the video and data files into it and away you go.

It will log data such as gps, speed, g etc off the iPhone just not revs, speedo reading etc

iPhone compatible ones are far more expensive than android ones sadly.

That's a shame. I've already spent hours watching my sessions back, and could spend many more doing exactly the same...there's so much to gain from picking apart the laps.

Can't wait to go back to Llandow to see if what I've gained from analysing the data will translate into smoother and/or quicker laps.

You get other data from the gps but just not revs, speed in speedo form, throttle pedal position etc

But still for £13....

I may have come up with a work round for the iphone, there is a package in cydia which is €5 that should open up bluetooth obd's
