movement felt through gear stick

Ive owned my 197ff for about 4 months now and have always had a slight amount of movement felt through the gear lever when ever applying throttle or letting off the throttle, I was just wondering if this is fairly common and if anyone had a fix for this issue? Cars on just over 40k and is a 56plate model. I also have fitted a vibratechnics lower stabilizer bar and polyfilled the top dogbone mount. Neither of which have improved or worsened the slight knock felt.
Any help appreciated.

Wouldn't be surprised if there is a little bit of movement as they engine and gearbox move. That's why I never rest my had on the gear stick as it can put unnecessary pressure on the box.

This always seemed fairly normal to me.
My Twingo RS had this too and I bought that one new.

Even with the new mounts, there is still a little bit of play inside the gears.
The mounts only reduce the gearbox housing movement.
And it might be the case that your movement actually got less but the feel of the knock got stronger because of the stiffer mounts.

But it's always hard to tell over the internet if we're speaking about the same amount and kind of movement/knocking.
