Member of the Moment: Season 2
Cars/Site
Current car:
My Clio 197 which has cost me a lot of money to date, however never fails to put a smile on my face whether i'm pootling around town or hooning it down winding country lanes. Would I do it all over again? You bet!
First Car:
My beloved Peugeot 206 1.1. Had some great times with the 206, as anyone who is 18 and new to driving would, and it taught me a lot about maintaining cars. Partly because I enjoyed adding little touches and partly because it spent a lot of time in the garage (anyone seeing the trend here ). Had big plans for it but I kept the mods sensible and made my money back on each one of them. After a year and a half I thought it was time to move up on and purchased the 197. The 206 is still in the family thankfully and i'll never get rid of it.
Dream car(s):
It would have to be the Lamborghini Aventador. I've always been a huge fan of Lamborghinis as a kid, they just stir up emotions that no other car could.
How did you find Clio197.net?:
I found the forum whilst I was looking to purchase my second car. The advice and buyers guide was invaluable.
What keeps you coming back to clio197.net?:
The people on here. I've been lucky to meet so many members and each one has been an absolute pleasure to talk to and get to know. It's like one big family and it never ceases to amaze me how something like the love of our cars can bring together so many people from different backgrounds. Everyone is willing to help each other out, offer advice and be there during both the good and bad times. This forum really is a hidden gem and even when the time comes to move on from the Clio, I won't be leaving here. Plus there's still a ton of users I'm looking forward to meeting!
Favourites
Favourite food:
Pizza. Especially with stuffed crust
Favoruite Drink:
Dr Pepper
Favourite place to eat out:
Anywhere as long as the company is good
Favourite holiday (where you've been or where you'd like to go):
Visiting the US, California to be precise, is on my to-do list. Such a beautiful place with a diverse landscape. Would definitely make a road trip out of it.
Entertainment:
Film:
Happy Gilmore, I still remember the first time I watched it and it's just as funny now as it was then.
TV Show:
NCIS, but workaholics comes close second because of my juvenile sense of humour
Actor:
Adam Sandler (no surprise there!)
Actress:
Abbi Jacobson
Band:
A Day to Remember
Song:
This was a tough one, and I mean really tough. But if I had to choose one, it would be Shake Me Down by Cage the Elephant.
Comedian:
Don't really have one
Website:
Clio197.net and Pistonheads
Pornstar:
Sophie Dee, I mean after all she does have the most amazing eyes
Everything else:
Fantasy Partner to:
Marry: Scarlett Johansson
One Nighter: Nigella Lawson
What Im excellent at:
Working under pressure and time constraints. I find that I thrive under pressure and produce some of my best work under tight deadlines. Unfortunately this also means that at times I leave university assignments to the last minute. Seems like a cheap way to get your thrills
What I'm terrible at
Being patient, especially when it comes to car related matters. When I order car parts I expect them to be here yesterday.
Pet hate:
I could literally write a 10 page rant about all the types of people I thoroughly dislike but i'll try to keep it short! People who lie/cheat/steal are probably top of the list. What goes around comes around and when we depart this earth, you won't be taking anything with you so why bother? I've been brought up to live honestly and work hard so i'm not a fan of anyone who isn't the same.
Most embarrassing moment:
I'm quite lucky when it comes to embarrassing moments. I haven't had any that have left me traumatised or with a phobia But my most embarrassing moments would be those of when I was a child and went shopping with my parents.
I'm sure we've all been there, you're looking at a product and want to show your mum. You call her and turn around, but then it hits you. You've just called this random lady who came out of nowhere, who you've never seen before, mum. You both share an expression of confusion, awkward silence, followed by a hasty retreat. This happened numerous times when I was young and it never got easier!
Proudest moment:
Probably completing my undergraduate degree with a first and the mark I got for my dissertation. I started working on it during the summer and put a lot of effort into it. I genuinely enjoyed being given a free reign to work on what I wanted (within reason), and the plan is to start my masters dissertation early too!
Person id love to punch:
That annoying go-compare guy He really gets on my nerves
Nominate next person to interviewed:
@Dmonk197 . Great guy who I met at the summer group drive. Don't hear a lot from him on here so let's change that
A question you'd like them to answer:
If you won the euromillions lottery, what is the first thing you would buy?
