Well as im now rather active on the forum I thought I would start a spanking new Project page regarding all the work that I have done since owning the car.

We Had a small Monaco 172 that was just too small so we looked for a bigger car which lead us to a RS Megane 175 Dci with a lot of extra's from factory.

I then decided that I wanted something LY and the megane was sold and after seeing this LY for sale on a Scottish highland for a good few weeks we took the chance.
This was the pictures of the car that was sent to myself before buying the car and making the trip.

As you can see the seats where torn and ripped, The wheels where marked, It had a silly induction kit and mud flaps but it did tick all the boxes and came with 12 months MOT.

The was not crazy and I had plans for the car as soon as I seen it.

So as time went on I loved the rear end of the Clio 200 diffuser and was dying to get one.

It just so happened that one came up for sale on ebay for £200 and I sent the Mrs a 6 hour drive down south on her day off to go and collect it and she done me proud.

So the car was in need of a lot of work so off it went for a £1500 overhaul to get it running tip top at my Renault specialist in Stirling , Scotland (SWR Autos)

There was so so much that got done I cant list it all but the car drove like a dream, As you can see I also got everything Vapour blasted so it looks better then new.

So next up we noticed the the Brembos where in a bad state and rather than refurbish them I bought new OE brembos along with front discs, pads and pins.

So once again we all know how the seats get ripped, stained and end up smelling just like cat pee.
I wanted something nice and something I knew I could get repaired at any point so went for a full re-trim on the fronts.

I also got a seat cover and got the Renault Sport logo put into that also to protect the seats.

So both front arch liners where smashed and I managed to get a good second had set so I thought I would get it up and cleaned and clean out as much dirt and sand as I could and unblock any drainage holes I could.

So was given the chance to change the alloys to some 200 cup alloys that where freshly powder coated so I did.
The R888 tyres where not in the deal and I never wanted them anyway so I managed to get the tyres swapped round.

I was not a fan of the silver looking trims and the fact they looked like they had faded or had a dye through them I wanted them to be fresh and to match the rest of the car.

My mate who is a painter painted them Audi Black for me.

I would love to have all carbon fibre parts but thats just crazy money and you dont see a lot of them

This is a great first post. Love the attention to detail and the effort you're putting in to get it back into perfect running order again.
Keep them in tip top condition is one of the best bits of modding.

Wow! Really well played mate, you've done a fantastic job so far getting the car to where you want it to be.

Wish I had the time/money/enthusiasm to get mine looking as good as yours.

Keep the updates coming.

WOW!

What a transformation, really cracking work mate - them seats are gorgeous!

Now I see why you wanted the image uploader up and running properly lol

Proper proper build. Kudo's to quality, time taken and attention to detail. Not to mention time and money.

No half-baked short cuts here....

This story here is beautiful. Bringing a very tired car to the standards it deserves is simply awesome.

I'm really surprised by the state of the calipers, what happened there? I can only presume that you brakes were atrocious? Also, that wiper arm!! it's totally rusty, do your wipers move?

Echoing Chris re the seats, great job!
