Hi
When i start cold engine, ambient temp ~ +12 celsius and instantly go driving car has no torque at all.. it is pretty hard to enter highway. After 3-5kilometers engine works normally and low end torque is there.

Is this engineered thing or fault? I know when oil tempeature is cold hard accelerating is not good idea but even joining in normal traffic is difficult. :001_huh:

they are rubbish when cold.....(keeps emissions low)

the rev limit is also lower wehn cold not by a massive amount just a few hundred revs lower

Mine barely pulls its own weight along when cold, im assuming its cos im missing both cats and its still on OEM ECU.

It sounds like its misfiring, idles all up and down and it physically wont go over 2500rpm unless i really give it some, almost as if the cam wont advance. After a few minutes it switches off and shes running fine :s

Agreed they are rubbish when cold. I tend to always let mine have 5 mins of warming up before getting in and driving.

For this reason I can ASSURE you I have PERFECTED the art of using my hands to push the brake pedal and start button at the same time

Or the clutch pedal and the start button like I do

Yes they are bad when cold, as people have said already :smile::smile:
