I have just bought a 197 and have become infatuated with the nuances of owning it! Kangarooing when cold, the knocks and noises etc. Anyway, my mission is simple, to make it clean and revitalised! I have already reconditioned the melting steering wheel, changed the window seals, changed the flaking rear view mirror, added an RS splitter, refurbed the centre console and trims, refurbed the bolsters in the seats, replaced interior bulbs with LEDs, done the old cable tie trick, had streering track rods replaced etc, etc... (only had it 2 weeks) anyhow...
I am very keen on putting on the spherical Renault sport gear knob, not the RS one.
I am also hoping that someone may have one laying around somewhere that they would be happy to sell to me.
I don't particularly wish to pay £150 for one.
