Keyless issue?

Went to the car this morning and it would not unlock via keyless or the button on the keyless card. Stuck a new battery in, no change also disconnected the car battery, left 20 mins and still no change.



Used the key in the card to open passenger door lock and I am not getting any message on the dash, no ignition etc



Does this sound like a power supply issue or a keyless issue? Any suggestions on what to check next?
 
sounds like the cars battery is flat but that should be easy to spot what was done to the car recently how long was it standing.
