Hi guys,

Just wondering how much a map is roughly from k-tec.

Looking to iron out the flatspot and get that crackle map.

Cheers,

Jack

There site says:

RenFlash is K-Tec Racing's unique remapping tool. Using RenFlash we can transfer remapped files, developed here at...
From £414.00 (Inc vat) £354.00 (Inc vat)

I have the crackle map and I love it. You can dial in more pops on over-run with the tiny tap of the throttle when the revs are on the way down

Works really well with my akrapovic

Also made my bangs louder on upshift. I need to get a GoPro and strap it to the bumper for some vids

Does it only crackle when the cars is sat still and revved?

How is it done? Over fueling?

Surely other mappers could do this if so resulting in a lot less traveling?

Something to do with the igintion timming scotty, (i think)

Plus who needs a crackle map when your running that music out the back of yours !

How come the RenFlash is sooo expensive? Especially compared to a custom remap which takes ~2 hours to do and is tailored to your car?

I understand that you actually get some hardware with the RenFlash which pushes the price up and you have the ability to switch between maps, but £354 plus £150 for each additional map seems excessive.. unless I'm missing something?
