job interview... tomorrow!

Iv bagged myself an interview for a new job tomorrow, literally found out in the last couple of days, I'm wondering has anyone got any tips to keep me chilled out in the room and when answering questions! Only ever had one job interview, thats for my current job and it was only an half ass'd interview at that! Any help massively appreciated!

well done good luck

wear a suit

shake their hands before and after the interview

do some research on the company

have your cv with you

give positive answers and don't slag off previous jobs/employers

have some questions for them at the end eg wage/holidays/promotion/perks etc

okay I can help trained in hr lol. Always keep eye contact, answer in full questions. Just think that the person who is interviewing you may have never carried out an interview before. Make sure you are prepared before hand it always help makes you less nervous. The more you know about the company the better you will feel in that room. Be confident and just be your self

Thanks!
Suit is all ironed ready, got CV in folder with all qualifications, yes done research going to go over all that again tonight and thanks for the question suggestions!!

Preparation is king here. Look on Linkedin to see if who's interviewing is on there.

Research the company

Have sensible questions to ask. I disagree with Foxy here...never ask about holiday, pay etc. Ask about career progression and questions around the role. Take in notes and questions, they may allow it.

Arrive 10 minutes early

Dress smartly

If they offer water, take it.

Shake their hand firmly.

Have a GOOD CV. Terrible ones will get binned.

Above all....smile and be confident.

I don't know if I'll be able to find it now! It was on the site but obviously post has come down after application entry date

Take a smart folder with all documentation inside. Search interview questions relating to your sector. Think about how you working for the company will contribute in three future

Use the star technique as well situation task action result potential employers love that
