is the bonnet alloy?

On my r27 I noticed how lightweight the bonnet is in comparison to my meg which is a similar size but the mass difference amazing!

I once had a ph1 172 with an alluminium bonnet and I also had a ph1 1.2 clio with a normal bonnet.

The r27s bonnet feels very much like the ph1s.

Any one got any info on this?

Thought they were Aluminium, at least stream line carbon say they are when comparing them to the carbon fibre article.

Yes I think they are. I had the paint chipped off mine by the wiper and it never went rusty. The way to check is with a magnet, but do it underneath!
