I'm being picky... But I'm impatient!

Well both have FSH and if I can get one at 36k for the same price as one that's done 70k feels a better option to me

All personal preference I guess!

The one on 36k needs a fair chunk of work. -

Realistically its a 6250 car.

The key is £175
The Wheels refurb @ £125-150
The wing mirror wont touch up- liquid yellow doesn't 'touch up'- it would need to be sprayed- or if your lucky find one on a breaker
Seat bolster is around £100 a panel.

THe good points are it is highly specced with Climate & Projector lights & the big plus point is the cambelt has been done by the BEST specialist.

All the work required is a cost bit its a good base car.....

I've bought a few cars in the South of England, I live in Northern Ireland. My mates have done the same. If it's the right car it's worth travelling for no matter how far.

As above. Plus I'm travelling from Northern Ireland to Leeds for a remap this weekend.

Thanks this really helps. He says he wouldn't take less than 7.2k....

I was thinking 6.5k so good to know my head is in the right ballpark sort of figure.

I'm sad now though :worried:

Do I bargain more or walk away....??

I'd bargain down for the wing mirror, key isn't a huge issue just carry a spare battery imo and replace when you can.
Cambelts done, mileage is good and it's in probably the best colour you could ask for. If this was last summer when I bought mine I'd have offered 7k to take it there and then.

sarah_casper you know there was only around 140 LY R27s made. A few have been written off over the years too so your probably looking for one of around 120 cars. You might be lucky and find one with low milage but they're all starting to get on a bit in age (at least 7 years old) and many will have been used as a daily driver so the milage will be over 50k. The average UK car does 12k per year so going on that 84k would be average for a '07 car. Any reason you want a R27 specifically? Would an early LY 200 with Recaros and a cup chassis not do the same job?

Understand mileage completely but I've seen a few over the past few months so I'm sticking to my guns.

If you can find me a LY 197 that isn't an R27 I'll eat my hat.
