How to test your coil packs?

Dont think you test them like that mate. Youll
probably blow the meter up. Whats the problem

Hmm, I know not to text when on the car but thought you could test across the pins on the plug. It's just I'm getting slight chugging under 2k revs and when stopping at junctions a significant drop in revs to around 500. It seems worse when cold.

You changed th tdc sensor yet, checked/cleaned throttle body. Youll probably be better taking it to a specialist with the correct equipment to diagnose it.

try using a ohms meter and see what readings you get across all four....

usually if they go they go and just miss fire....

I've cleaned throttle body but not replaced tdc sensor. Don't really want too just be buying parts and it not be that. How do I test along all 4?

Dan

unplug each one and see what the ohms reading is and compare them against each other... if one reading is out could be your faulty one!

You mean check the resistance over the 2 prongs where the plug goes on? If so, done this and reads 2 on all 4. But due to the multimeter not been too accurate, one May read 1.8 and the rest 2.2 so it just rounds to 2.

they be fine then if the meter rounds the number up, if the coil as gone it would be a quite large resistence picked up on the meter or open circuit.

i would be looking at the fueling side of things, which may involve taking to someone with the appropriate equipment and knowledge. im guesing fule pump, but thats just a guese
