How do I remove this scuff

Hi guys im after some advice please. On Sunday the wife noticed a scuff on her bumper which she think happened in a supermarket carpark as she is sure it wasnt there before she set off.

This is the damage below so im just after some advice on how to reduce the damage. Its on the rear bumper driverside and the car is a smart Fortwo.

Can you feel it with your nail? If so its going to need painted to get it perfect. A polish with any polish will however make it look a lot better.

Yeah you can feel a small part of it with your nail. So do you think a hand polish will make it look better? I dont have a machine polisher you see.

Rubbing compound on a wet cloth. I've used that stuff loads of times on tiny scuffs that polish cant quite remove. gets rid of them easily.
