How do I remove rear brake calipers on a 197?

I don't tend to personally do a lot to my car and hire someone to do it instead. However this weekend I intend to spray my rear calipers silver and would just like a guide or advice on removing them?

Any help/advice would be much appreciated.

:bounce:

calipers are only held by 2 bolts - remove and lift up but you cant move them too far due to the brake flexi and handbrake cables

yeh you can remove them - unbolt and remove brake pipe and cable....then refit in reverse order and bleed brakes etc

It's easy if you know the answer, like anything lol.

If your not mechanically minded I would leave the brakes to a pro.

Defiantly let a pro do it if tour unsure, don't want to be messing with brakes of your not mechanically minded, asking for trouble.

Yeah I don't want to mess around with something I'm not sure on. Luckily my old man is a mechanic, I think I'll leave it to him.

To paint this, they're going to have to be completely removed though, so I guess bleeding the brakes it is, right?
