Holidays / Travel 2019......

After a pretty awesome road trip in the 'Deep South' last September, we're venturing slightly further afield to South Africa in November, starting in Cape Town and driving, more or less, the Garden Route to Port Elizabeth, staying in a small game reserve for 3 nights and driving back to Cape Town. About 13 nights in total, and heavy on the wallet :disrelieved:

For some general R&R and guaranteed sun, a week in Lanzarote at the end of June. Small villa up the side of a volcano with some lovely views over Playa Blanca. Will be our third time there, never thought I'd be one of those people!

I’ve got an (older than me) friend who spent some time in SA late last year. For the first time: after previously spending his first ever couple of holidays exploring the States....

He absolutely LOVED SA. Mostly due to the cheap booze and numerous vineyard trips I’m sure ! He’s heading back this year for 3 weeks I think he said and was non-stop gushing about the place when I spoke to him.

We’re just revelling in the fact all the kids are currently self-sufficient (Albeit still living at home with the olds). So taking the current opportunity with both hands. Looks like the youngest is in with a good shout of studying at Cambridge. So it might not last for us.....

That's quite a line up you have! Some good memories to be made there, Japan will be amazing.
Reassuring about SA, a few people I've spoken to have said the same thing. It's going to be a great experience I'm sure.
