For the projector head lights, is there really not a better H1 bulb on the market? The standard halogen H1 with the projectors is unbelievably low in intensity. I have tried Osram night brakers which only makes the light more white, tried Philips bulbs which promise 200% intensity but again makes it only more white and tried LED TÜV approved which is actually worse then the standard halogen.

Also dismounted the headlight units and cleaned the inner works and lenses to a crisp state but no improvement unfortunately.

Reluctant to go for 100W bulbs which will probably work but bad for the electrics and too much heat for the projector lenses.

Looked at LED with a higher output but is not formally approved in Europe and comes with huge electrical connection blocks and difficult to fit due to cooling fans.

Ideas for improvement anyone?

By the way, a nice ‘French’ modest touch is to use Philips Colour Vision Yellow bulbs for high beam for instance. The bulbs are not full yellow which is of course a step too far but give a slight modest yellow glance in the head light units. The yellow only shows during day time when sunlights shines into the units but when using it, is just normal white. A nice French touch without overdoing it .

Unfortunately they just are a bit poor regardless of bulb.
I fitted 55w HIDs to mine, which were a vast improvement, but still pretty terrible. Also obviously rather illegal.
