Graeme's AG 200

Started doing a little bit of tidying up in the car so thought I would start a thread.

here it is,

here is what it replaced

i have had the car a couple of weeks and so far really like it. The bodywork needs a bit of attention but I will get around to that in the new year once I have moved into my new house.

my plans for the car are pretty few at the moment,

- new wheels oz's or speedlines
- mudflaps as I live down farm roads
- lower it slightly
- enjoy it.

ideally would like it to look similar to this ( I think this is a forum members car)

since I had a few days off I decided to do the check and clean the drains under the wiper arms/windscreen. Glad I did as one was blocked.

and after a clean

cheers for looking

I also want some of them spats that go over the side skirts want them gloss black but can't seem to find any at all. Does anyone know where I can get some?

So little update,

had a bad couple of weeks with the car. I had two slow punctures out of the blue so took the wheels off to inspect and found two cracks on the inside lip of the alloys and one seems to have already been repaired. I personally wouldn't feel comfortable driving around with them on so the hunt for new wheels began. Managed to find some Speedlines in good condition with r888's on. Not ideal for this weather but I already had 4 good tyres to use. So a couple of weeks ago I fitted the wheels and some rally style mudflaps purely to keep the mud down during winter.

and then whilst driving to work today my exhaust started blowing, on further inspection it is either in top of the pre cat or the flexi's. So I have ordered two bosel 265-567's just I case. So going to tackle that this Friday night/ Saturday morning. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

How easy was it to remove the scuttle clips/screws ? I have tried to remove them with a flat head screwdriver, the clip rotates but doesn't loosen.

I got a toyosports manifold mate, ran like s**t till i got it mapped but worth it now

mechanic fitted mine £30 per hour £160 in total. Worth a think about if you ask me

Def need some new mounts after tho, vibrates on sub frame under hard accelleration, bit annoying

Really easy just turn the screw 90 degrees an the inside portion becomes slightly raised, get a small flat blade under and they just pop out.

I read that you can bend the edge of the subframe away from the manifold. Doesn't loose rigidity as its just the edge.

My mechanic took about 5 mill off subframe with a 4 1/2 grinder. Im a coded welder so repaired my and sold it for 150 so only paid 70 quid for manifold. If you know someone who can weld worth its worth repairing and getting some cash
