Jimmy
Good cop
Bit of a long story this, but make a brew and bear with me
At the end of last year I took my R27 to Harratts to have new front discs and pads fitted, and to have all four calipers stripped, lubed etc. Spot on service and was dealt with very well by Adam Vickers - who it was recommended I speak to by some members on here.
Fast forward to yesterday and my 4 new Goodyear Eagle F1 AS2 had arrived and were ready for fitting :wiz: took the car to a local tyre fitting place owned by a friend of my brother. They removed three wheels and put on the new rubber, however on the last wheel they could not remove the locking wheel nut anic: No matter what they tried, the nut was stuck fast. As they didn't want to risk breaking it, they suggested I take it back to Harratts, as they were the last ones to have the wheels off - and therefore were likely the ones who had over-tightened the nut.
I was initially dubious as to whether Harratts would help out, as it was essentially my word against theirs that it was their fault. However I spoke to Adam again and he asked me to bring the car to them.
2 hours later, the technician (Richard) had tried allsorts but had finally managed to chisel off the offending nut and had even put the last tyre on for me. They accepted that it was their fault and charged me nothing for the work they had done.
So basically, Adam and the team at Harratts are absolutely spot on and dealt with the issue really well. I honestly couldn't have asked for any more and they made me feel like a valued customer - even though I had only actually been to them once before! Highly recommended if they are local to you.
Thanks for reading.
