Joined yesterday so just thought i'd just 'officially' identify myself to you all. I havent got a clio as yet, but Ive agreed a price & a good pal is going to give my prospective new purchase a good look over today before placing a deposit for me. Its a red 200 with the cup pack & Recaro's which is what I want and its got an unusual number plate too!!.
If alls well with it I'll get the train down on Sat to collect it and drive it home as its bloody miles away lol.

I'm not a car forum virgin by any means, I'm an 'old skool' Ford nut and my 'toy' is a cossie powered mk2 escort that I occassionally track and terrorise local roundabouts with. Ive been driving my company van around for the last couple of years so fancied something a bit different than a diesel audi/bmw and the little clio should do me :smile:
 
:welcome: along. I'm sure you'll love it, and sounds like a great spec (The recaros are epic unless you have a fat arse, and red is a great colour on the 200).

Theres a few of us that came from the Ford scene, so I'm sure pics of your toy would go down well :thumbsup:
 
I know colour is very much an individual choice, but I just think the clio looks superb in it and was surprised just how few of them there are compared to the other colours.

My other toy is a mk2 escort ex racing car which has been converted to be road legal.......just. It has a cosworth turbo engine which is currently at about 380hp, altho its now off the road till the spring as I have some work to do with it as it will be 500hp when its next out.

The mk2 looks brilliant and 500bhp? That is crazy! My uncle is a ford nut case and his old RS2000 was sitting at 250bhp roughly and that thing was a monster so i can't image what this would be like!!
 
Woohoo my mate has been to see the clio & given it the thumbs up & put a deposit down, so I'm now a clio owner :smile:
Need to book the train now for saturday & I suppose I better get an insurance quote lol
