Gear Knob Top

How does the silver top off the gear knob come off? I'm wanting to purchase a carbon one of streamline but will I have to take the gear knob off to get the silver top with the gear numbers off or can is it prised off???

I ordered the carbon part last week so i need to get mine off.

So no need to get the gear knob itself off?

I'm guessing not mate I gona get a blunt knife under the edge and gently prise it off

It does mike just done it where the stitching is on the knob theres a cut out on the silver top just poped a bank card under it and poped straight off

No not yet, only ordered last week.

Came today :jump1: fitted within two minutes of opening the package 8)

It's an exact copy of the original, you'll see a cut out near the front, i put an old (blunt) craft knife down near this cutout and it simply popped out, new one just clicked in place.

OK, Insert tool here to remove old top (mine was allready fitted so had to remove for pic)



The gearknob without top fitted.



New and old together, you can see cut out in front what helps removal.



New top just drops in and clicks in place.



Just another piece of carbon in mine :-p
