recently mounted a fox rear silencer and thought I'd share my impressions
quality:
the silencer is well crafted and comes with very solid clamps. even though it's quite huge compared to a akra or KTR system, it still manages to be smaller and a few pounds less heavy than the stock rear silencer.
fitting:
the silencer fits perfectly using the original rubber hangers. to fit, you have to cut the original exhaust. sadly the exhaust comes without a manual that guides you exactly where to cut, but with a bit of thinking and measuring this is no problem. when fitting, I noticed that the diameter of the fox exhaust is a bit too large. so if you slip it over the original pipe, there's a 1mm gap. I managed to get it sealed though using just the clamp. other people reported no issues as well.
sound:
granted, it's not the loudest, chavviest exhaust on the market. by far not. It does have a nice deep growl though and gets a bit shouty on higher revvs. all without inducing headache to the driver
When I was having the first drive I thought that this is should that renault should have give the clio right from the factory. slightly crackling on gearchange as well
