Fitting coilovers

firstly im a suspension novice ,so excuse me if i sound dumb.I would like to lower my R27 without making the ride to hard ( think it looks better)so i guess K1s would be good .K tec is quite a drive from me so can anyone recommend someone in the Suffolk,Norfolk,Essex area who could fit and set them up .Are they easy to fit ,that my local garage could fit and then allign after or is it more specialist .I remember my local fitting springs on my pug and they hated the torsion bar ,it was a lot of trouble. If i just added spacers to fill the arches does that effect the handling/ride and what size would i need if i keep the 17s on.If any one has any ideas please thread, thanks

I firstly well done coilovers are great you won't regret it

Coilovers are ok to fit I live in Norfolk and have / had KWV3 coilovers and theyveere fitted by a garage in Norfolk (kings Lynn) and they could do the same for you they charged me £100 bargin

Coilovers are strange old things they are brilliant once there fitted compared to lowering springs the ride once fitted is smoother and seems to flow better not to mention the monumental handeling changes .

I am selling my coilovers mate see the link in my sig absaloute bargin .

Any more help you need drop me a pm

i have fitted few coilover sets in the past, the clio is not as easy as for example vauxhalls! rears are easy and dont take long, fronts are little more complex but still not to hard and dont really need any complicated tools part from spring compressors to get top mounts off for coilovers!

i never been one for paying a garage to do things i will have a go at myself and spend the money on something else like how much petrol the clio uses, lol!

took few hours to do, and was only 0.5 degree out in tracking after!

payed a mechanic friend £200 quid to fit my V3's and it took him about 4 hours the fronts are hardest as you have to use the old topmounts from the original suspension and compress the springs to safely get them off. Other than that its pretty easy a straight fit.
worth their weight in gold mate
