200: First Service . . . Where to go?

My first service is due . . . Not sure where I should go for it. My local dealers is Toomey Basildon but I've not been overly impressed with them in the past and I know a few people on here aren't keen. So is there anywhere else in the South East preferably or London that is better. Does it have to be a Renault Specialist Dealers?

Recommendations please!

I took mine to my local dealer in eastbourne they're brilliant really friendly never had any problems with them at all

As far as im aware Renault dont care if its serviced at a dealers or not so long as the garage you use has receipts for Renault OEM parts being used.

IMO it looks better if you have a full Renault service history tho if you want to sell it. There's a Renault in Romford, not sure if it's any good tho.

Hmm ill have to have a think. Id rather have it done by renault but i didnt think id be looking at it costing me that much! lol

I'm the opposite id much rather see stamps from well known specialists, I've heard so so many bad things about renault, id only ever go there for warranty work.

does anyone know ho wto cancel the 'service due' lights on the dash??

As mine is due, but afte rbeing quote £254 from Seward Renault, i rather do it myself.

on the right hand stalk, when this message shows, press in and hold one of the buttons until it disappears

will that cancel it for good?? Along with the spanner sign on the dash.

Or are you talking about just scrolling through to the other options?!

I take mine to Mark Fish in Harlow, he's well known in the renaultsport scene and always has a couple of clio race cars around.

I was told by Renault CS that the anti corrosion checks must be done by a Renault dealer to keep the corrosion warranty valid. Something to bear in mind, although they have been wrong in the past as I found out...

How much does he charge mate?

I now have to decide wether to go dealer, specialist, or a friends garage near me, he does all the work on our work vans and company cars, I could get him to use all OEM Renault parts and I trust him and know his work is good.

hmmmmmmm . .. . . . . ... ... .
