+1.

I get the feeling there are lots of touches you'd not notice at first; you'd be so busy looking at others.

I'm looking forward to seeing this car very much too.

And the owner

Had the MOT to worry about today. I hadn't had the car MOT'd before and was concerned about the Akra Evo exhaust which does away with the second cat. In the end it flew through  Before the MOT I took it for a great drive to ensure it was nice and warm. It's drives like this that tell me to keep it normally aspirated and not to Meg it. The noise it makes screaming to the redline is awesome. I love this little car

Speaking of Megging, it's gone off this evening for the brakes to be Megged  Will post pics when i have them but it may be a week or so until it comes back as there are some other bits and pieces to take care of.

Nice one, always squeaky-bum time when the mot comes round again. Looking forward to pics of the megane brakes and a report on how they feel.

Great news buddy. Another 12 months of you ferrying your car from one specialist's to another to be further enhanced covered  [That's not a mickey-take. More a real-World observation and part and parcel of the modding process].

Megging isn't just getting more power is it. Its a completely different kind of power. I can appreciate both equally - i'm just a petrol-head. Cars, bikes, V8 chainsaws, Truck-racing - i can relate to all in their own way

But the further cars progress - the more the MK3's engine is becoming old-skool. And that's sad if you love a screamer......

Well put Shuv. I'm the same and old skool is definitely good when it comes to cars. My wife goes nuts at the lengths I'll go to to mod the car how i want, i think she just thinks it's possible to take it into a local garage who'll sort everything out

Good result. Makes me hopeful for when ours comes up.

New brakes should be fun!

And good on you for being a member of the NA brigade. Even if it's just momentary! High revs and angry throttle response is always my preference. Always jealous of the power those guys have though. And even more so the low end torque. But when you're really having fun, there's nothing like a screamer.

Good news re MOT. I have no issue with turbocharging, but it's nice that you appreciate the n/a engine for what it is. I'm like @sevenfourate in that I'm a petrol head, but I bought my Clio as one of the last incarnations of the n/a hatchback & I love it for that & the fun to be had in revving it to get the power. I still wouldn't diss you for a turbo/Meg/supercharger conversion though. If I could afford two Clio 3s I'd have both!

Don't forget a few have supercharged these too Johnny.

Keep saving. Your garage needs to hold 3 Clios at least.

***ITB's Johnny ?? Now they sound good, increase power and retain the normal screaming traits...

I'd like ITBs but engine dynamics put me off them. They really don't want me to spend any money on my engine
