Engine warning light

Just had the engine warning light flashing again! Have a feeling that it could be one of the coil packs as it did exactly the same a few month ago. But I don't know untill I get it on the computer. Is the coil packs failing a common fault?

usually an "emissions failure" i would say...

might be a fault code stored in the ecu if its a coil or injector it should be a specific code if not it will be the usual p0300 random mis-fire code!

mines done it a few times when still cold and driving on part throttle...

Mines done it a couple of times when it's been hot and I've been sat in traffic!

Back when my car had a standard exhaust... And a cat... And a standard ecu... And a standard dash... Basically when I picked it up new lol, it also flashed in hot weather then went off so you shouldn't worry.

I would imagine a failing coilpack would result in a misfire or poor running.

I haven't noticed any difference in the way it runs. If my could pack fails, could it damage anything else? And I use vpower.

mine has flashed a couple times in the 2 years i've owned it, never paid any attention as i've had it on a fault reader and nothing has been logged apparently.
