engine undertray question

just a quick one the undertry has an access pannel just bellow the gearbox but does it have a cover as mines just has a 300mmx300mm hole roughly?

I think it's to keep the gearbox cool.

Nah mine has a gaping hole too, as said above believe its a g/box vent.

Correct as said, theres also a sort of deflector that seems to aim it up the back of the engine too.
