Engine oxidisation/pitting

Has anyone used something like this - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ali-Brite...87?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item20ef15a36b - to remove the white dusty type corrosion on the engine casing? seems like quite a common problem with 197/200s? Il get round to posting a picture when I get time

Dusty type corrosion could be coolant leak. You got photos?

Yeh I think I'm exaggerating a bit by calling it corrosion, just doesn't look as good as what it should!

The natural texture of the inlet is much better for disipating heat than a polished one.

it was a lot of work but i think it looks great as for heating and performance issues i never seen a difference to be honest,

im sure scientific calculations may say otherwise but it will only be marginal, nothing that needs to be worried about on a road car
