engine managment flash ? cat

hi guys whilst driving today the engine managment light came on and flashed i pulled over switched enginge off then started again, hasnt came back on, im wondering if this is impending doom of the CAT FAILING AS THERE IS A NOTICEBLE RATTLE FROM THE cat closest to the rear of car?
help apreciated guys thanks

if the ECU light is flashing then its the ECU trying to sort out a problem that it has come across

The rattle might be an exhaust mount?

was you driving slow like a granny, mine did this a few times a few years back in very hot weather when driving like a granny, disapeared and never came back on, i think its happen to a few on here.

fingers x and yeah was driving bit like a granny and it is hot here, i have hat car up on ramps and there is a rattle coming from second cat,

Happened to mine today and has happened once before both times when it's been very hot!
