Ebay seller - cup spoiler. Any good?

Hi Mate,

Cheers for spotting this company out for me.

It is a lot cheaper than Karl, but for some reason I just feel it's alot of money to part with if it's not what I want, i.e. an official RS part. I don't want it to say a geniune part and it end up paying all that money and it being a gimic RS part. At least with Karl's company it is coming from a Renault specialist parts department.

They are a site trader, i got my front splitter off them last week and it is the genuine Renualt Sport part.

Hi,

ok, and I take it your splitter has, Renault Sport on the front of it, just like the genuine part does?

Do you think the carbon fins that go at either side of the spoiler would be like if I bought it from the dealers and it have Renault sport on them, and not be cheaper fins?

Yeah, it has the "Renault Sport" embossed in the centre, fit like a dream.

I would imagine the spoiler will be the same, the side skirts and the spoiler are next on my list, so if you fancy waiting until mid next month i'll let you know?

Pleased to hear you are happy with the splittter.

Yes I will want to hear from you when you fit your cup spoiler on. I am not getting my 197 until another 3-4 months yet so plenty of time to let me know what condition your cup spoiler is in and if it's just like what you would get at the dealers.

I would consider putting a splitter on the 197 as well when I purchase one. How much are you talking? Is it easy to fit? Does it clip on?

The splitter was very straight forward to fit. I paid £180, but got rear brakes from them too so got free delivery as it was over £200 in total (also I didn't enter the discount code so I got a voucher for my next purchase)

It was just a case of pulling off the rubber standard item, then following the instructions provided.

It just slots into grooves in the bumper along the bottom and then four holes on the side for the mounting bolts and a further four holes along the underside at the front for some self tapper screws.

It mentioned in the instructions about glue also but I skipped that part for now. Got it fitted in a little over an hour, with a bit of assistance from my dad.

Sounds pretty straight forward to fit them mate.

When you get your cup spoiler fitted, send me some pics. I'm sure it will look very sporty with both splitter and spoiler on.

I hope it's Albi blue ur clio :tongueout: lol.

crikey, im going to get on the band wagon I think, my current spoiler is NAFF ( bought from ebay) cheap fibreglass that has been cooked for too long resulting in the paint reacting!! I was holding out for a cup racer spoiler, but seems they are very few and far between!

What spoiler have you got at present mate?

Cup spoilers are easy to find if you want to purchase one brand new. However you do have to pay a hefty price. (Around £180).

Sorry to hear about your spoiler reacting with the paint. I would be mega frustrated. It's the only thing when you purchase things off the internet, it's a mission to try and send it back and get your money back.

Hope you get a cup spoiler soon and your current spoiler fixed mate
