mine only says "oil level correct"...

Like already mentioned in here it does that initially but if you push the upward button on the right stick (for you maybe the left?) it's switching to the other display.

Yeah if i see it at half, i check the dipstick... Which usually is well below halfway between min / max

Mine doesn't use a drop of oil as per the dipstick. But is that fact regarding the dash indicator ?

Hmm, really? I have had 3 mk3 rs, and all have had small consumption, like 5000kilometres and 2-3 desilitres.
In my world that is totally normal health engine.

Yes 100% true Antti.

I know what you speak of ref oil use and this (Using some oil) is indeed built in by many manufacturers as part of the design.

I know back in the day a Sierra Cosworth for example was supposed to use 500ml every 1000 miles.

But: it also seems my car didn’t listen to this. Rightly or wrongly it’s not used a single drop between oil changes in my ownership.

**Or maybe it’s such a small amount - I havnt noticed between frequent fluid swaps
