Crank sensor connector

Water has gotten into the crank sensor/loom on my 2011 200.
Has anyone ever replaced the connector for the crank sensor, if so where did you source an OEM one.
Asked renault and they hadn’t a clue what I was talking about, strange as other OEMs supply connects.

Crank sensor you mean the one at the gearbox the detects the flywheel

Exactly, I’ve replaced the sensor with a genuine one.
But it seems water has gotten into the loom and connecter so it needs to be replaced..

I would check at the ECU end to the connector with multimeter check continuity and the resistance the second test will give you an idea if corrosion/water damage is affecting the signal.

Ya we’ve checked the ecu end. Seems as if the connecter is corroded and the wire is black half way up.

Ya no problem you know what your doing then I just googled that number can't see much info but this site has Renault connectors there is one for Renault master TDC which should be the same

Any postage problems I'm in Northern Ireland I'll get them and send them on I got some lambda connectors from these guys

So looking at the image,
that connected doesn’t look like it will fit my sensor.
I know there is two deferent type of sensors, my one is part number 8200746509.

I looked at the post but what is the trouble you are having when you ordered the wrong part did the connector you have go into that as I only have 197 looms and stuff here

There was a change at some point in the 200’s life cycle to a different crank sensor with a completely different connector.

Can take a picture of the connector as it’s too awkward.

Here is the connecter I need,
Renault don’t supply a part anymore and the dealer can’t find a part number.
My only hope is maybe a complete engine loom at this stage but I find it hard to believe that this connect was only fitted to post 2011 clio 200 and nothing else!!

that connector looks like one of the same on the drivers door lock assembly for the handsfree system!

So I’ve found a connecter for a number plate light off a Dacia. Hopefully it’ll fit.

Yea if it does not fit de-pin it and move the wired pins over, the only others I found are to the right of the circled items in the picture post #8

Right we have a fix.
Rang k-tec to see if they could help. They explained that Renault are not only discontinuing the parts but are deleting the part numbers off there database.
The only solution is a breakers yard.
So just to add to the misery of all this seems like they’re is 4 or 5 connectors where the side slots are at slightly different heights (I’m talking mills)
Manage to find the part number for the connector.
It’s a TE Connectivity (AMP) Econoseal part number 39392 (there is a 39393 which is visually identical and what seems to be sold online a lot but won’t fit by a few millimetres). Couldn’t find one online but when to a Renault specialist breakers.
He had one. But even he was blown away by the small differences in the shapes.

@c.h 90 If you get really stuck give me a shout, I've got a loom off a later F4R 832 engine which has a few slightly different connectors from my 197 loom. Previous owner hacked the loom when he did a Meg swap so it's no good to me. I can try to see if I have a matching plug on it for you tomorrow.
