Cold weather kills radio

Since the cold weather has settled in my radio decides not to power on in a morning.

I got the keys, took the radio unit out, reset it put the code in - and it worked fine.

Come morning and it doesn't work. :001_huh:mg::001_huh::blink::blink:

Anyone had/have this problem?

iirc there is a fault with some of the radios doing this in cold weather...

Mines been doing this for 2-3 weeks now ever since I left the car for a week on a course.. Haven't got round to fixing it. is there a perm fix foxy?

there was either someone posted on here about it or on the ruk website about the fault - my memory isnt what it was - had alot on recently :'(

This happened to me this morning and is currently still broken.... i feel your pain

how did you resolve it? just unplugging and re-plugging it in or fuse?
i don't have the bits to take radio out :/ any long term solutions?

I pulled out the radio and disconnected the opwer cable. You need to put the radio code in when the radio comes alive again.

Don't leave it too long if it does this as it can discharge your battery
