Clio won't start, keycard?

Hey fellas I have made a new thread on this as it is rather urgent. Long story short I have a 197 with a faulty keycard I assume.

It won't lock the car and won't start it. I have managed a handful of times after playing around with the key in the ignition to get it started but it's at random.

There is a crack in the keycard and I have changed the battery to no avail. Renault have quoted me £220 but I have to wait two weeks for the delivery. Any suggestions on how to get it running with maybe the pull out key or another source to get a new key?
 
look on you tube theres a video about taking the cards apart and soldering the faulty connections inside
 
Iirc the pull out key is just a backup to unlock the passenger door..? Presume you've tried placing the key in the reader to try starting it?
