Clio RS 200 Cup - déjà vu

There is a Defender for sale in Listers Solihull pretty much just like that for a meer £43k! I imagine a tow bar would be extra!

So Clio is at Jade Development waiting for Bilsteins, to Jade spec, to be built and shipped from Germany.

In the meantime found this while looking for something to trailer it to Track Days:

Yep. It’s the 911 of the 4x4 world [emoji6]

Mine had the tow bar and it even has a sub-woofer. But not quite the go of the Cup!

Hey Kev. Yep the R is still going. Hit 14000miles today. It’s amazing how the Clio makes the R feel sooo heavy and unwieldy in comparison. Although the 4WD is great in the current weather...

It’s been a month without the Cup and I miss it. But I think Sean is a genius so waiting patiently for the mods to be completed. [emoji1696]

It is a beauty and a credit to Kev'. Almost too nice to take anywhere near a track day. But as I am now officially middle-aged I will probably be the one driving round with "L" plates on at 40mph.
BTW - Sean at Jade still waiting for the factory to make the Bilsteins. So looks like end of Feb before the car comes back...

It’s an “R”. But I think the R32 is going to be more of a future classic so hold onto it!

Update (and yes, about time , I hear your you say...)

-Bilsteins arrived from Germany plus ... Top mounts, Gripper diff, sequential + clutch, plus other bits I have forgotten in my excitement!

Sean is going to be working overtime to get it all ready for Castle Combe.

It’s been a looooong time coming, but now you tell me they worked for you, I can’t wait!
Spoke to Sean today. Lots of prep going on. I’ve asked Sean to take pics, a bit like a mini-progress thread, and I’ll post for everyone.

Here it is with its older brother. The blue car had Jade Developments first Bilstein kit.



I’ve heard folks say “it’s good as new” when they collect their cars after work etc.

But this is better than new. Way better! Gearbox is mega after rebuild, steers by thought rather than even thinking about it. Roundabouts are a riot.

When I’m back home I’ll upload the build pics than Sean took.

It’s a nice motor alright. Wheels look special too. Reading ///M’s write up made up my mind to go for Jade Development’s Bilstein setup on the car. Together with the Gripper diff the car is transformed.
