CLIO III RS Rallye Car

Hello togehther!

We would like to tell you about our rallye car project and keep you in touch about the progress (if anyone is interested?!?)

We bought a serial Clio 197 and stripped it completely down.
After that we got the shell into a immersion bath to remove all painting an shield layers...

While this was done we developed the whole electrical system new to safe weight.
We are fitting an Magneti Marelli power box and dashboard and also touchpanel and engine ECU...
The power box is used instead of fuses and relays... To safe time (and development) we are going to use an complete Marelli system.

Engine will be modified with pistons, valves, cams,etc... and will get solid tappets instead of the hydraulic ones.
Gearbox will be 6-speed dogbox with LSD and AP-clutch.
Gearchanges are possible without "clutch" by using a ignition kill switch.

As our German Renault dealers cannot help us...
We would need the part number of the RHD doorlocker, because we then are able to fit a key-cylinder also on the right side to lock the car.

Can anyone help us?
 
No, we're running in rallye events.
We have fitted CatCams and are now going on to adjust the valve free travel by grinding... Not the funniest part;-)
 
Which catcams did you go for and are you still using VVT on the inlet or have you got adjustable pulleys on both cams? Also are you using the Catcams solid lifters or the Clio R3 ones?

We use 304*/295* catcams and drive without VVT. Other cams seemed to be not useful as we have to use serial throttle body (as written down in regulations of our class).
The lifters are not CatCams, they`re comming from a French kitcar specialist and are made like the Clio Super 1600 ones.
 
ah 505 catcams, that's some pretty big cams - be interesting to see how it runs on a plenum and single throttle body. Are you getting the lifters from X-Rally parts then, they look a nice setup and I think are just a copy of the R3 Maxi Evo setup? I priced a setup from there using their own cams etc and it's pretty reasonable.

Have you done anything to the head and valve size? And will you be using short stroke crank (84mm bore/90mm stroke) as I think you'll be seeing some big revs on those cams!

What sort of power and torque are you expecting and when you planning on having the engine running by?

Yes we took the rocker arms from XRALLYPARTS, but they're diffrent to RS Maxi-spec.
We would like to be somewhere between 245-250 hp, we'll see middle of August in it works as it should...
Think the main problem is the series diam of the throttle body which we're not allowed to increse...
But as we also dicsussed with Silvayn from XRALLYPARTS this power should be possible within a wide torque band.

Headwork is also done, but only some smart matching on flowbench because it Weekend to be Real good from series.

Urgent: We need a part number from a RHD Clio III: We`re searching for the door locker mechanism of the driver sight (right side) from a car which has fitted a key to open.
Does anyone has a VIN of such a car or can give us the part number?
