Clio badge mark

I don't know if anyone will be able to help but a month or so ago me and a friend debadged the Clio badge on the boot and It left a mark where it had sat for the past 4 years. I have clay barred the car and polished it and it is still there.

Any tips how I can shift it?

Compound and cut then polish

Mine was 5 yr old and it just polished out but do what he says ^^^^

Use some sort of de tar like tardis on the area, claybar thoroughly, polish with some hand polish, i used auto finesse tripple but you can pick up auto glym super resin polish which will do the job, you might need to do it twice with a fair amount of pressure, wipe down area and then apply some wax!
Mine was five years old and I did all of the above and it came off!

put a bit of petrol on a cloth, polish and then wax!

Wow, some interesting info in here...

Tardis or a Citrus degreaser will remove it, don't scrub.

Used autoglym tar remover on a cloth, left the boot up with the cloth draped over the area for about 5mins, then it simply wiped off.
