yeah ok, should be picking up the close ratio box and diff in a couple of days, then installed next week and track day week after.

Yeah using an R3 manifold and I'm using 403's, right on the limit of what the stock ECU can handle though. The amount of overlap is playing havoc with the vacuum in the manifold on part throttle, so the MAP signal is at times sporadic. Also I still need the exhaust changing as I'm positive theres 5-10bhp to be gained out of the POS I have now.

Though having to do the gearbox unexpectedly meant my standalone and exhaust fund got eaten up :worried: Hopefully in a few months though I'll have those bits done and be knocking out about 225bhp which 403's 'should' be good for.

Yeah my current exhaust manifold back is a Piece Of ****. It's been cut up a few times and all it seems to do is make a bloody racket for no good reason. We lost 10bhp before I took it to RST so I'm sure we can extract more power once an Akra or soemthing decent goes on it.

Nah mani came from Aros in Italy - same place Simo and a couple of others have since bought from (Proil & Rosscoe).

Ohh with ya. Yeh you'll definitely see a difference if fitted a akrapovic . Saw good gains on mine with no map !

I've been talking to guy in Greece who's a Renault sport specialist and he's down some r3 maxi manifolds. Look a real good bit of kit.

The Kalatzisport manifold welds look a bit rough with the meeting of the pipes not as smooth - kinda looks like the bends aren't mandrels as they look pinched from what I can see in the pics. If you look at the pic's of it on thier facebook site and then compare to the pics of the Aros on mine, you'll see the difference very clearly.

I'm still undecided on if it's worth it, final verdict can't be given until the rest of the exhaust is up to scratch though really.

right been along time coming!

1st off - last round of timeattack at rockingham, i got there in end with support of midlands reanult , bro sport and Kalatzisport !! i went there knowing if i didnt beat Ollie (toyota corrolla TT) id come away very miffed as knew should done better at Oulton on my last outing. Car ran great all day and my times come down each session. finished the day p2 in class and beat championship winner (ollie) by few seconds which was chuffed with as been close at every round ive done.

Few pictures from the Rock...

Next on list too improve the handling is a set of Powerflex bushes! Ive been lucky enough to have Powerflex offer me a sponsorship deal for next year which i was made up over! Used them in past with great results. Totally changed how my perivous cars have handled and drove. Cant wait get a set on the clio!!!

$_35.jpg

Now time too get some etxra power out of her. Ive bought a set of catcam 402's. The cambelt needs doing so well its all out thought for extra cost id drop in some cams. Do the job once as they say! Hopefully gain a good spread of extra power through rev range and improved peak figures. be happy if see 200bhp and get some etxra torque mid range. So Trip back to RS tuning in future after alls fitted.

Still got shed some extra weight. need Remove passagner seat for a bucket seat and ideally remove the aircon pump/ Rad and rear airbags. Every little helps!

Also ive sold the OZ alloys so dont get wrecked as track wheels as too expensive tom ruin so bought another set of speedlines and painted them Kawasaki Green ! Running a set of 20mm
spacers too help give car a wider track and fill them archs.

Chris_200CUP how do you find the B14's on track, too soft or just about right? Good to hear the rarb has made a positive difference although it's one more thing to add to my ever expanding shopping list!

I've been really happy with them. Unless I spend 2k on coilovers that's only time I may see a difference but can't knock them. Hopefully with bush kit and rarb it'll be even better. I'll be sticking with these . Just a joy to drive.

Was a rumour bilstien was going do a higher NM spring for track but emailed them with non reply.

Been Down too Brosport tonight to have car checked over and clutch bleed ready for a track day at Oulton Park this month. Just hope weather holds out!!

check these guys out for Renault parts guys! If could give there page a like too if on Facebook.

They been good enough to get on board with me and the car for next year. They sorted me
out with full cambelt kit with everything needed. ( belts , tensionors , water pump , seals , de-phaser etc )

Soon have the cams dropped in

Track day went great. It rained most day. Was quite heavy in the afternoon but car took it all its stride. Fair to say it didn't let me down and flew the Clio flag pretty well! Think it surprises a lot of people.

Nice, I like wet track days - great equaliser of performance so you can really drive the tits of the car and 'slay' some bigger fish!

Do you have all those bushes fitted now and could you feel much difference?

Yeh Defo. Not all about power when it's wet. There was 2 quick m3's and 2 lotus things but wasn't much else that actually come past. The car probley more suited to wet than dry really

Not got anything fitted as of yet rich

Dropped car off this morning with Mark @ Midlands Renault specialist . Cars having the cambelt done, tensors, de phaser, water pump , air con pump / rad removed and drop the cams in.

Booked in with rs tuning on 21st and hopefully we'll see 200bhp or pretty dam close!!
