Check injection.!

Ok. I have/had a problem. I own a brand new clio RS200 with only 2500km on it.
Yesterday when i was accelerating ( it was a 2nd gear at 7000rpm) the service light turn on, and on the computer appeared notice "CHECK INJECTION". Car immediately lost power, and rpm fell immediately on 2000. :scared:

I waited at the first exit and on the computer was also notice "CHECK ESP", an the ESP light was on. The engine was runing very weak, so i turned OFF.

After a minute, I turned the engine back ON and signs disappeared. Engine was running smooth and normal. The acceleration was normal and the problems disappeared.

Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong?

The day before it rained heavily :rain: , but i was driving on the highway. Is it possible that the water came in the sensor so the computer goes crazy?:tongueout:anic:

What should I do? :001_unsure:

I did run in my car.
till 1000km only 2500rpm.
after 1000km, evry 100km 500rpm higher. So at 2000km it was exactly 7500rpm. I made an oil change at 2200km.

I don't think that this is a problem.

if it was me i would leave it.....but if it does it again then take it to the dealers as what happend is that it went in to "limp mode" so one of the engine sensors must have "gone faulty" and given a reading outside of its parameters casuing the ecu to select an average value and hence the limp facility - thats done so the selected value does not cause engine damage

it might just be a "one off" situation !

Should i go to renault dealer, so that they connect to a computer.? Will they see any mistake on their computer?

mate i hd this happen to me. i know i caused it cus i booted it from cold. ure esp lightcame on aswell? mine did.

pulled over stopped and started and she was right as rain.

lesson learned for me mate. i let it warm up fully now

i had this problem with my 200 as well as my old 197, take it to the dealer and tell them to look at the map sensor, Manifold air pressure sensor this is what happened on my 200 or alternately it could be the fuel management ecu, as what happened on my 197. both these faults had the check injection check esp fault on the dash with a lack of power and stall after reving

My car was warm, becuase i was driving for 10km before. But maybe was warm yust water, not oil. This is possible.

@bumblebee. Did you have to change the sensors, or was it ok after you did restart your car?

Mine did something similar the day before the main fuse coming off the battery blew...

Only a 2 minute job... its inside the red box to the left of the battery. Might be worth having a look at it to make sure there are no obvious faults.

i had this - it was a renault id'd it as a faulty throttle body.

Same here. I went to a specialist for RS and we log on the computer, and the error was faulty throttle body.

Did you have to change anything or it was yust oneoff mistake?
