Check Injection + Emissions + limp mode

After unsuccessfully attempting to route a power cable for my amp today my car (1.4 dynamique S) has thrown up a service light, a check injection light, a check emissions light and has gone into limp mode. :001_unsure:

The power cable was pushed through the same grommet which houses the bonnet release and a host of other wires. Could touching any of these wires cause the problems? I assumed that none were to do with engine management?

The power cable was also routed behind the plastic trim at the bottom of the passenger side of the interior to the boot, again is there anything here which could cause the problem?

Finally, the only thing I really touched under the bonnet was the airbox, could any sensors have come detached from this causing the problems? (MAP sensor, ignition coils and spark plugs are all fine).

Any other ideas for how to solve the issues welcomed!

TIA

i would double check the airbox/fittings etc

it was ok BEFORE you did the work so usually safe to assume something has been pulled apart or cables damaged as such!

I assume it must be something i've touched, but having taken apart the airbox again today I can't see anything wrong.

Its booked in for diagnostics on monday morning so hopefully that'll reveal my mistake. In the meantime is there anything else obvious that i should check? Emissions warning suggests lambda sensors perhaps? Would a defect in one of those be enough to trigger limp mode and do any od the wires run inside the car?

Moving into things i don't really understand, probably best left to the experts!

check cable that plugs into the TB is secure, as i had this message before when the cable was unplugged

Thanks for the suggestions, having checked both the tb and airbox both appear OK. Diagnostics showed an open circuit on the throttle pedal. The wiring harness was damaged but has now been repaired and the problem remains.

I've been told that 2 readings can be taken from the throttle pedal and that one of them is reading nothing at all. Can anyone help with what that might mean?

Is it logical to think that by damaging the wires in the first place i may have damaged either the pedal or the ecu?

I guess this is likely to be a one off incident, but just in case anyone has the same problem in the future we eventually found a solution.

After the wiring had been repaired the car was still in limp mode displaying the same faults. The garage then tried swapping the potentiometer with one from another car. Again, diagnostics showed the same fault on pedal track 1. It was only on closer inspection of the ECU that the garage later found one of the circuit boards to be visibly damaged (burnt). We can only assume I had bridged a 12v live to one of the 5v throttle wires with the screwdriver I used to make the hole.

After repairing the wiring and replacing the ECU the car is back on the road. Turns out this was a stupid and expensive mistake to make. Lesson learnt!
