Time has come the R27 needed some work done, amazed by how solid the suspension is on these cars, just at close 90 k km had these parts done for the first time, and some of them were actually in a good shape still, just got replaced since parts were cheap
Had a NSF spring broken, so thought about going the B14s route, eventually went for the cheaper option being new cup dampers set front and rear + new eibach springs.
New top mounts also in at the same time.
Had a slight knock on the hub joints so did both upper and lower on both sides of the car.
While at it, replaced the wishbone anti-rotation links and the anti-roll bar links.
Also fitted braided HEL brake lines.
That leaves me to the wishbones and the rack, but both seem in a good shape as they are now.
Just last week had the brakes done, the brakes would catch temperature very quickly when braking from higher speeds and were on a few occassion surprised by close to zero stopping power.... it was so inconsistent that I actually did suspect a brake pump or the abs unit, but then had a chance to take it on a track and it proved to be temperature related as both pads and discs were close to its minimums.
So took the front discs, the drilled brembo xtra while the rears where some SNR branded solid discs, had the rear ones painted with the VHT Caliper paint and put them on with standard road use brake pads, Ate for the front and TRW for the rear. New pins for the front calipers as well.
Planning to have a few trackdays this year so will then just get a set of DS3000 for the front, guess that should be enough.
Drives like a new car again!
