Carpet

I took my rear seats out a while back now for a track day and have actually found the car to be more useful without them! (never even use the passenger seat)

Wanting to carpet the patch of chassis where the bench previously sat, anyone know where I could get some carpeting that much match the material used to line the boot?

I've googled it obviously but wondered if anyone had done something similar and had bought some good stuff

I have a good mate at a place in Kings lynn that do carpet for cars can match anything and its really in expensive they dont deliver but i could bring to cadwell .

roughly how much weight is in the rear seats?

had to put mine down the other week and obviously remove the parcel shelf and my car sounded mental,would love to fully strip there rear...

I took out the bottom of my rear seats to clean under there, they just clip out but weigh about the same as a bag of crisps

Not sure about the upper part.

Yeh it's the backs where the weight is, not sure how much but it makes it a lot easier to chuck my bike in the back!

ive done all of mine, ive used MDF to make up a level platform though.. it most likely adds a tiny bit of weight, but im not fussed.

The cage is the same weight as the seats!

I weighed it when I took the seats out and put the cage in. Cancel each other out but I loved that the exhaust was more audible with te cage in adding to the experience
