Cambelt change due.

Hi guys.

My car is 5 next month and so in need of the Cambelt change and 5 year service.
Obviously K-Tec have been recommended to me (for obvious reasons) and ideally I will take it to them.
My problem is I live in Caerphilly (south Wales) and I'm struggling to get time off to get down to K-Tec:-(
Can anyone recommend someone more local to me? Or am I just pissing in the wind by trying to find someone else to do this job cheaply and more importantly PROPERLY?

There is a place called kj autos I think that's what it's called in Llantrisant I am taking mine to them they quoted me 470 that's changing the cam belt water pump aux belt and fitting they are in coed cae lane industrial estate French specialists

dont worry too much if you cant get there exactly when its due as long as it hasnt done a lot of miles it can go over time/distance - the change interval renault use has some "safety margin" built in as clio200 is now at 6yrs and they are the same parts...

I've heard some good things about these too.
Where are they based? I read a review on here the other day and they seem spot on.

Luckily she's only done 20k so well within mileage limits, I have the money set aside at the moment though and if I don't get it done now I will probably spend the money on some other goodies lol.

I've already ordered a fair bit and I'm getting carried away now haha.

I went searching for them earlier. Couldn't find the garage although I did find a sign saying that they'd moved lol.
Got the number from the sign though so gonna give them a call later.

I'm gonna give them all a try.
Kj quoted me £485 for te Cambelt change earlier. They seemed really switched on tbh, the guy i spoke to has a megane rs and told me they have all the correct equipment and he was the 1 that worked on all rs models.
shall try btm and k-Tec too.

I am looking into exhaust and lowering springs at the same time too so may be down to the best price on offer for all work tbh.

Still debating whether or not it's worth taking my car to these or ktec or BTM.

Does anyone have a number and address for BTM so I can call them for a quote and see how at from me they are?
Will be the deciding factor I think.

Im from south wales and in need of cambelt change to. I was going to take it to BTM becuase thats the closest to me and only one thats within a reasonable distance. That KJ does sound good though and its not too far either. Aslong as they have the right tools and have experience in doing them im happy

My car had its 5yr service last week. The service manager told me the cambelt change wasn't due to 72,000 or 6 years!? This has me confused as I always thought it was done at 5yrs :-s

197 is 5 years/72k and 200 is 6 years/72k despite them using the same parts.

Any idea why the 200 is 6 years not 5 ?

I guess none failed in 6 years so they saw fit to increase the recommended change period.
