Nice video, and such a simple way of fixing it. I used some gasket sealant which was probably more hassle than your approach!

Maybe But I was out of luck. See, it's a really strange problem and it should be an easy fix, this is a 2007 car, should have none of this problems!

It's not a good daily driver right now, it's a beast on the corners though.

Great video Bruno. Good effort. I've had my Engine re-mapped and it fixed the problem. Car drives much better

Thank you Ben! I've tried to do it right.. Unfortunally I don't know any Renault specialists here in Germany, maybe I have to do a big trip to the UK.

If there are a few of you needing mapping it might work out cheaper for you to all get together and ask Paul from RS Tuning to come over. He's just about to head out to Asia somewhere to do the same thing.

But if not, come over and make an excuse to do some good roads over here.

Good video Bruno! It's a shame it didn't fix the flat spot though, it must be frustrating... Hopefully you can get it sorted with a remap - sounds like the perfect excuse for a road trip, and the drive back will be even better

I'm not used to this boring problems, it really gets in my nerves. If it was only for trackdays it would be fine, but I'm not seeing me driving it much more time if I dont solve this problem.. Let's see how things work out

maybe ask on the german clio forum ... www.cliors.de ?

we have a couple of mapping companies in belgium with good reputations, but no renault specialists.

By all means, I'm glad you fixed that using that method, really easy and at least deletes any problems due to the MAP sensor movement, btw, that KTR intake is looking gorgeous !

bruno, get in touch with 'RSlex'. he's a mod over there and speaks english well. i bought a couple of things from him, he runs the forum shop, and correspondence was in english and friendly. would surprise me if he couldn't help you.

Hello everyone, how are you wonderful people doing? It's been a while since I came here to write something.
Since the last time (around March I believe) I've managed to figure out what to think about my little Clio.

I always said I didn't find it a good daily driver, and that's indeed, very true.
But... I have my company car that I always forget about, and therefore, I don't need to make the Clio a daily.

So, I thought about selling it, I actually was writing the advert on mobile.de last week, but I couldn't do it.
And then, I took a trip to the Nürburgring last weekend and it completely blew my mind, what a spectacular piece of engeneering this little car!

It is meant to be fast, I did a great first lap on it, actually went full power on the foxhole on my very first lap with him!

So the plans? Not selling it at all, I'm actually going to start to build it as my road legal RingTool, and I shall say, I'm super excited!

And also, two weeks ago I've bought normal Brembo Replacement disks and textar (OE quality... Meh), I've runned them in but I was out of brakes on my first lap as soon as it heated up, I have a fast driving style and a bit agressive while beeing soft at the same time, maybe it's a good oportunity to jump to 330mm disks and Ferodo DS3000 pads on the front.

maybe it's a good oportunity to jump to 330mm disks and Ferodo DS3000 pads on the front.

try the stock sized discs, some quality brake fluid and ferodo DS1.11 pads first, before you decide to go for a big break kit. several on here have the DS1.11's on their cars, me as well. brilliant pads on track. can't fault them.

But even standard diameter discs with or without two piece with uprated pads would be a massive improvements.

Well my plan was buying the K-TEC 330mm disks (I've hear there's more brands producing big disks for our clios on UK but I have absolutely no knowledge about that), and buy DS3000, but I went to the website now, the DS1.11 pads look pretty dang good, even better than the DS3000 wich are sick on circuit.

I've bought somethings I needed/wanted.

- Tire pressure gauge to check the pressure after track sessions or ring laps
- OSRAM chrome blinkers, about 12€ for each pack, that would be 10 quids for you guys, roundabout.

But the looks though!
Hope you like them, have yet to install the rear ones, but first, I gave him a proper bath to take all the dirt out from the trip, but it was quite easy as it is decontaminated/waxed.
